Fanis Papageorgiou was born in Athens in 1986; holding a 4-year BEc from the Department of Business Administration of the University of Piraeus, a Msc in European Economic Policy from the Economic University of Athens and a PhD from National Technical University of Athens. Ηe taught for some years in the School of Applied Mathematics and Physics of the National Technical University of Athens and in the Department of Economics of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. Currently, he is Assistant Professot in the Department of Business Administration of the University of Patras, under the scientific discipline of “History and Quantitative Applications of Economic Analysis”. He has taught, among others, the courses of “Political Economy”, “History of Economic Thought” and “Econometrics” both at under and post-graduate level. His published scientific work include more than 30 papers in international peer-reviewed scientific journals with referees, among which the following: Journal of Economic Issues, American Journal of Economics and Sociology, European Journal of the History of Economic Thought, Economic Modeling, International Journal of Social Economics, Journal of Economics and Business, Journal of Economic Asymmetries, and others. He has co-authored with Panayotis G. Michaelides the handbook Schools of Thought and Economic Fluctuations (Symmetria publications 2016), while he has authored three literature books.
